Link
- When we are browsing the Web and we see a highlighted and underlined word or phrase on a page, there is a good chance you are looking at a link.
- By clicking on a link, you can "jump" to a new Web page or a completely different Web site.
- While text links are typically blue and underlined, they can be any color and don't have to be underlined.
- Images can also serve as links to other Web pages.
- When we move the cursor over a link in a Web page, the arrow will turn into a little hand, letting you know that it is a link.
- The term "hypertext" comes from the way links can quickly send you to another Web destination.

Web server
- Computer system whose primary purpose is to connect to the internet and to download stored webpages and files on to the user (client) computers when accessed or requested.
- A single web server may support multiple websites, or a single website may be hosted on several linked or mirrored web servers.
Web browser
- Computer program (such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox) that enables internet users to access, navigate, and search World Wide Web sites.
- Browsers interpret hypertext links ('hotlinks') and allow documents formatted in hypertext markup language (HTML) to be viewed on the computer screen, and provide many other services including email and downloading and uploading of data, audio, and video files.
